A Proud Fulwell Moment

What an incredible few days for Fulwell Infant School as we celebrated the amazing achievement of former pupil Jill Scott MBE during her return to Sunderland as part of her Coming Home Challenge.

Our children were thrilled to cheer Jill on and were delighted to receive a special message of encouragement from her. Jill spoke warmly about her time at Fulwell and inspired our children to believe in themselves, work hard and follow their dreams.

Congratulations, Jill, on your remarkable achievement. Everyone at Fulwell Infant School is incredibly proud of you!

Year 2 Science Week Visit

As part of Science Week, our Year 2 children visited the science laboratories at Monkwearmouth Academy. They took part in a fascinating investigation where they learned how to separate a mixture of paper clips, salt and sand using different scientific methods. The highlight for many was seeing a Bunsen burner being used in the lab – a very exciting experience that made the children feel like real scientists!

Drawing with a Famous Illustrator

We were delighted to welcome children’s author and illustrator Liz Million to school recently. Liz worked with the children to create their own fantastic drawings, sharing her tips and demonstrating how simple shapes can be turned into brilliant characters. The children loved drawing alongside a real illustrator and were incredibly proud of the pictures they created.
