Welcome to Class 7’s Art Gallery.
As part of our Reception Art curriculum, Class 7 developed their observational drawing skills by studying the Eiffel Tower. The children carefully examined a photograph, discussing its shape, height and distinctive features before creating their own detailed
line drawings. They were encouraged to look closely, notice important lines, shapes and spaces, and use these observations to represent the structure accurately in their artwork. This learning supported the development of key artistic skills, including drawing with increasing control, adding detail and using line effectively to communicate what they could see.
We were incredibly impressed with the care, concentration and perseverance the children demonstrated throughout the activity. Their finished drawings show excellent observational skills, thoughtful attention to detail and growing confidence in expressing their ideas through drawing—an outstanding achievement for Reception pupils
