Reception

By the end of Reception year the expectation is that children will achieve the ‘Early Learning Goals’. Some children will not reach expected level and will continue to work towards this in Year 1.

Throughout EYFS (Nursery and Reception) everyone works hard to develop each child’s capacity to learn, helping them to make good progress and develop excellent attitudes.

he Keys Skills and Early Years Curriculum are delivered through a range of themes, developed through the interests of the children in response to ‘Lines of Enquiry’. The emerging themes will respond to the children whilst ensuring the provision offers every opportunity for children to achieve all that is expected of them in Nursery and Reception classes.
