Applying for a nursery place

Nursery registrations may be made once your child has had their second birthday. This involves completing

  • a nursery application form
  • emailing us a copy of your child’s birth certificate

You will receive information about whether your child has been offered a nursery place after Easter (usually April) in the term before they begin nursery. We offer nursery places in line with Sunderland LA nursery offer date.
When you are offered a nursery place, the letter will ask you to state your preference:

  • AM 8.50-11.50 each day
  • PM 12.20-3.20 each day
  • Early reds 8.50-3.20 Monday and Tuesday, 8.50-11.50 Wednesday
  • Late greens 12.20-3.20 Wednesday, 8.50-3.20 Thursday and Friday
  • Full Time (30 hours)

A charge is payable for meals and lunchtime care.

We do not normally offer early places in nursery, i.e. the term after a child is 3 years old. However, a parent may check with the school office in case there is availability.
Our admission policy for school places (from 2017) will include attendance in nursery as the third criteria:

  • looked after children
  • siblings (attending Fulwell Infant or Junior schools at the time the child starts school)
  • nursery attendance in the year before they start school

Please complete steps 1 and 2 above to secure your registration and email the documents to
